AMARGUS Group is a high-end interior architecture studio based in Casablanca that designs luxury villas in and around the city — Bouskoura, Dar Bouazza, Californie — from design through to turnkey delivery. Commissioning an exceptional private villa is not a decorating exercise: it is a work of interior architecture where volumes, circulation, light, materials and technique are resolved before a single fabric is chosen. That upstream work — not the décor that follows — is what a villa interior designer brings to a modern Moroccan residence built to last.
We take on large-scale residential programmes — contemporary villas, family homes, second residences — where the brief is as much about function as about aesthetics: entertaining, family life, retreat. Our role is to translate a client's way of living into a built project, coherent from the site plan down to the last detail of finish.
What makes a luxury villa different
Lifestyle and privacy
A private residence is conceived first as a place to live, not a showcase. The hierarchy of spaces — reception areas, the master suite, children's spaces, staff quarters — must reflect the family's real habits and preserve a clear boundary between the public and private zones of the house. This hierarchy is decided upstream, at the planning stage, and shapes everything that follows.
Home automation and technical comfort
The residences we design now integrate, almost systematically, a home-automation backbone: lighting, blinds, HVAC and often security. The challenge is not stacking connected gadgets, but anticipating conduits, wiring and control points early with the technical team — so technology serves the experience without ever imposing itself visually.
Noble materials and longevity
Marble, solid wood, brass, local stone: material choices commit a house for decades. An experienced interior architecture studio knows how to balance aesthetic ambition, material availability in Morocco or via import, and long-term performance against the Casablanca climate — coastal humidity, sun exposure, maintenance.
Natural light and the landscape
The best villas in the Casablanca region make the most of a site: a forest view, a garden, an orientation. Interior design then works hand in hand with the architectural layout to frame views, maximise natural light and create continuity between indoors and outdoors — terraces, patios, full-height glazing.

Our method: design, site supervision, turnkey delivery
AMARGUS structures every residential project in three connected phases:
1. Design. Gathering the client's brief and lifestyle, layout sketches, detailed floor plans, material and furniture selection, mood boards and 3D renders. This phase sets the aesthetic and technical foundations of the project.
2. Site supervision. Once the design is approved, AMARGUS coordinates the trades, controls quality on site and holds to the schedule and budget agreed at the design phase. Our role is to guarantee that what was drawn is faithfully built.
3. Turnkey delivery. For clients who want it, AMARGUS runs the entire execution — bespoke furniture, décor, installation — through to the handover of a move-in ready home.
Why work with a studio based in Casablanca
A residential project of this scale demands a regular on-the-ground presence: site visits, coordination with local artisans and suppliers, responsiveness to the inevitable friction of a live construction site. A studio based in Casablanca knows the region's network of trades, the real lead times for sourcing in Morocco, and the local climate and regulatory constraints. That proximity reduces friction and delay, and allows for closer support of the client throughout the project — an advantage international clients directing a build from abroad cannot replicate on their own.
What does your project need?
Pick your situation — we show you the recommended combination of services.
01
Interior Architecture
Bespoke design of the home's spatial hierarchy — reception, master suite, children's areas — built around a precise way of living, not a catalogue standard.
02
Procurement
Sourcing of noble materials (marble, solid wood, brass) and bespoke pieces chosen to last, not just to render well.
03
Project Management
Close-following site supervision, with regular on-site presence, to preserve fidelity between the drawn plan and the built home.
04
Turnkey Fit-Out
Move-in-ready residence — furniture, decoration, installation — without the owner having to coordinate multiple contractors.
We design your space end to end — interior architecture plus sourcing of materials and furniture.
Reference project
AMARGUS has designed several large-scale villas in the Bouskoura area, on plots of roughly 1,000 m² — including projects referred to internally as Villa 120, Villa 125 and Villa 135, one of which overlooks the Bouskoura forest directly. These projects illustrate our approach: generous volumes, a clear hierarchy between reception and private spaces, and a design that showcases the site's natural setting.
There is no single rate: the budget for a villa depends on the surface area, the finish level, the scope of the engagement (design only, site supervision or turnkey) and the technical complexity of the programme. Every residential project receives a bespoke fee proposal established after consultation, and our engagements start from a minimum fee threshold. For a sense of the ranges seen on the Moroccan market, see our interior designer cost guide for Morocco, or describe your project in one minute for an initial range tailored to your villa.
A full villa project, from design to handover, is generally counted in months rather than weeks and depends strongly on surface area, finish level and the condition of the existing building. The design phase alone usually spans several months before the build begins, whose duration varies with the extent of the trades involved.
Both are possible. Our residential engagements range from design only — for owners who already have an execution team — to site supervision and turnkey delivery, where AMARGUS runs the entire execution through to a move-in ready home. The choice depends on the level of involvement you want.
AMARGUS works in Casablanca and its immediate outskirts — Bouskoura, Dar Bouazza and surrounding areas — where the majority of the luxury residential programmes we support are concentrated.
Ideally before, or as soon as the purchase is signed. Early involvement lets the architect inform the siting, orientation and volumes according to the design intent, rather than working around the constraints of an already-fixed plan.
The project begins with a consultation covering the brief, desired uses, indicative budget and timeline. This first meeting defines the scope of the engagement before any detailed proposal.
