Luxury Apartment & Penthouse Interior Design in Casablanca

AMARGUS Group is an interior architecture studio based in Casablanca that designs luxury apartments and penthouses, from design to delivery. Reworked volumes, controlled light, bespoke joinery built in our own workshop, high-end finishes: we turn a bare shell or a dated apartment into a coherent living space, worthy of its location and its owner.

A high-end apartment or a penthouse is not furnished — it is designed. Unlike a villa, an apartment imposes precise constraints: a load-bearing grid hard to alter, fixed service risers, co-ownership rules, daylight limited to a few orientations. It is precisely within these constraints that a good interior architect proves their worth: revealing the potential of a given volume rather than being ruled by it.

What luxury apartment design demands

Reworking volume and light

A penthouse is worth its views and its light; a high-end apartment is worth the perceived generosity of its volumes. Our first task is to open, frame and rank the spaces: which partitions come down, which sightlines are freed, how light crosses the apartment from morning to evening. These decisions are settled on the plan, before any choice of material.

Bespoke joinery and cabinetry

In an apartment, space is counted: every storage unit, dressing room and bookcase must follow the exact geometry of the rooms. This is where our bespoke woodwork and joinery comes in, built in our integrated Casablanca workshop. Built-in cabinetry, panelling, headboards, dressing rooms: pieces are drawn within the project, then built to fit to the millimetre, without the gaps and breaks of standard furniture.

Finishes and material coherence

The luxury of an apartment rests less on accumulation than on precision: a tight palette of fine materials, careful transitions between floors, controlled junctions, light worked room by room. We design this material coherence as a system, from the entrance hall to the main bedroom, rather than as a sum of separately decorated rooms.

Building and co-ownership constraints

A build in an occupied building has its own rules: hours, access, protection of common areas, coordination with the building management. A Casablanca-based studio knows these constraints and folds them into the schedule from the design stage, avoiding the blockages that penalise remotely directed builds.

Our method: design, procurement & site supervision, turnkey delivery

AMARGUS structures every residential project in three connected phases, with validation milestones at each stage:

1. Design — Diagnosis of the property and its uses, reworking of volumes, layout plans, material and furniture selection, bespoke joinery drawings, an approved design package before any works commit.

2. Procurement and site supervision (OPC) — Sourcing and negotiation of materials, furniture and equipment, trade coordination, schedule management, on-site quality control at every phase.

3. Turnkey delivery — Snagging, furniture and lighting installation, handover of an apartment ready to live in.

This sequencing gives the owner clear budget and schedule visibility, with no surprises during the build.

Apartment, penthouse or villa: one standard

Our residential practice covers the full range of high-end Casablanca living, from the high-end apartment to the penthouse, through to the villa in Casablanca. The studio has delivered large residential projects — up to a 1,200 m² villa — where mastery of volume, light and finish had to hold from the first plan to handover. That experience of large volumes directly serves penthouses, where space and views call for the same rigour of composition.

Both. We design the fit-out of a bare developer shell as readily as the full renovation of an existing apartment. Each configuration sets its own site phasing, defined with the owner from the design stage.

Depending on surface area and the extent of works, a full project — from design to delivery — typically spans 4 to 10 months. A heavy penthouse renovation with bespoke joinery takes longer than a finish-level fit-out. Every project is planned individually.

The scope is chosen: design only (plans, materials, furniture), site supervision, or turnkey including full procurement and handover of an apartment ready to live in. We frame this scope with you at the first consultation.

Yes for fixed joinery — dressing rooms, panelling, built-in cabinetry — made in our Casablanca joinery workshop. Loose furniture is designed bespoke, then produced with furniture workshops selected for each project.

Cost depends on surface area, the extent of works, the volume of bespoke joinery and the finish level — never a standard per-metre rate. Every project receives a bespoke estimate after consultation. To frame your project, request an estimate.

Our studio is based in Casablanca and delivers most of its residential projects there, but we support owners in other Moroccan cities depending on the nature of the project and the agreed supervision arrangement.
